Congrats! Your GRID Community landing page is live! 🎉
Great! What is it?
In short, your landing page is a place where you can direct people to learn more about your community. It drives people to your events, your company brands, and to YOU. It serves as a marketing asset, lead magnet, and list builder! All customized for you and your tribe.
Is this different from my Meetup page?
Yes. Although your Meetup "home" page includes some of the same info, Meetup does NOT have a form for a member to enter an email address.
On Meetup, you only receive, on average, about 40% of member emails (the people who opt-in to share that email with the group's Organizers). Which is great! But this landing page allows you to capture many more.
Your custom page on our website is a supplement to your Meetup group, but doesn't replace it.
What's the benefit of driving people to this page?
The benefit to them: They can learn more about you, your group, and the leadership team, and find links to your events and custom YouTube event playbacks in one place.
The benefit to you: It serves as a single place (think Linktr.ee!) where people can easily learn more about you and it drives people to your events, company brands, bio pages, and YouTube playlist for more engagement.
Most importantly, it allows you to capture emails for your database to grow your network!
Can we add our events to this landing page?
No. All events will still be promoted and organized on Meetup. This keeps event info in one central place (aka the "single source of truth"), allows the algorithms to continue to drive people to your group, and avoids promotion of inaccurate event details in different places due to last minute changes.
Where should I share my landing page?
Everywhere! You can let people know this is where to go to "sign up for our investor list" or to "stay posted on upcoming events" or to "hear about exclusive deals."
How do I access the emails when someone signs up to my investor list?
When someone subscribes to the newsletter form on your page, 2 things happen automatically:
1. Your team will be sent an email notification.
2. The email address will be sent to your custom Google Sheet.
What's the best way to get these emails to my CRM?
There are 2 ways you can get the email data from your Google Sheet to your CRM:
1. Automatic: Zapier (our favorite). Simply set up a zap connecting your Google Sheet to your CRM and wall-ah! Emails will be delivered to the right place in real time.
2. Manual: Download your list on a routine basis as a csv/excel file and upload the list to your CRM.
I have a custom domain. Should I redirect it to this landing page instead of my Meetup page?
Sure! If you are promoting your group in general and/or asking folks to sign up for your investor list, I recommend sending them to your landing page. For example, redirect www.gridyourname.com to your new page. (If HQ controls your domain, we will redirect it for you and reach out about transferring the domain to you directly). However, if you are promoting a specific event, it still makes sense to drive them to that specific event url on Meetup.
I have questions about this. Who do I ask?
You can contact hello@gridinvestor.com if you have questions about your page or need to request changes to your bio/sponsors/company info or the featured photos on your page.
What do I have to do now?
Take a look at your page, let us know if there are any changes you want to make regarding bios, sponsors, company details or featured photos. (Please note, this is a template so the sections cannot be customized).
What should I do with the emails?
Once someone signs up, GRID HQ does NOT send them emails on behalf of your community. You must add those people to your email campaign tool/CRM and, you guessed it...email them! :)
They raised their hands to hear from you, learn from you, and do deals with you. Keep them in the loop through email to make them smarter and take them farther than they can go on their own.
We hope this helps you grow your network, do more deals, build more wealth, and create more impact.
The power is in the network!
The HQ team
