John Ellis

John Ellis, CEO of Pinnacle Properties, was raised in the world of real estate construction and has innovated the industry for over 20 years.

John is a passionate wholesaler and flips an average of 10 properties annually. From owning, managing, and buying to rehabbing and selling, John has a diverse portfolio of over 100 units and $3-4M of investment work in multi-family.

John grew up on the job site alongside his dad and brother. His first flip was back in 2006 — and the rest is history. John and his brother started their own construction company and grew it into a ground-breaking business: Their focus? Contracting for real estate investors. Eventually, they earned ownership of the properties they worked on in exchange for at-cost work.

Like many successful real estate leaders, John bravely quit his 9-5 to grow his company. As a former high school educator and administrator for over 10 years, John will always be a teacher, leader, and mentor at heart. He wears the Mentor, OH, names well as the coach of the local high school baseball team for the past 8 years.

Yet, this is the foundation of his success — real estate is all about learning, leading, and working together. The job site is his classroom, and his knowledge, passion, and talent for real estate investment compound each day. With his ability to lead and direct diverse groups, he can ensure budgets, timelines, and goals are met every time.

Pinnacle Properties

John Ellis built Pinnacle Properties from scratch to $3M+ in assets. With 13 talented full-time employees and 9 skilled subcontractors, the Northeast Ohio team works hard to innovate and inspire the real estate investing world each day.

They have secured $10M+ in private capital for real estate projects, creating systems that skyrocket productivity across processes along the way. From a 17-unit apartment remodel to a 20-unit mixed-use redevelopment, Pinnacle Properties’ portfolio expands year after year. Tackling budgets ranging from $160,000 to $1.5M, they are the pinnacle of hard work and dedication in real estate construction.
