Matt has been in some form of sales for his entire professional career. He started at 18 as a car salesman and still holds some Central Atlantic Toyota sales records.
He was in the car business for 10 years, working his way up through multiple dealerships to be a General Sales Manager. Unfortunately, he didn't realize at the time that having a job just wasn't for him, and he left the car business burnt out and went into private equity.
Matt traveled around the entire country for 3 years purchasing annuities and learned A LOT about large scale sales and acquisitions, especially on hostile turf. He then went to work for a large homebuying company where he learned the real estate investing business.
Matt started his own firm, Chesapeake House Hunters, in 2018 and have done hundreds of wholesale deals since, averaging about 5-6 a month to this day. Matt also flipped dozens of properties and average about 10-12 per year.
Most recently, Matt and his fiance have begun buying both long term and short term rental properties to build passive income so they can step away from the day-to-day business and focus on conservation and charitable efforts.
Matt has also consulted and done sales training for several nationally known companies, including Tarek Buys Houses. His focus now is growing his network, his deal flow, and building a large portfolio.
