Who we are

Founded February 2023

Welcome! GRID Long Island 495 Group is a real estate investment community based in Riverhead, NY—built by investors for investors. We are a group of real people doing real deals in our local marketplace.

Our core mission is to connect to, learn from, and collaborate with like-minded people interested in growing their businesses and creating long-term wealth.

We welcome investors of all experience levels. We are life-long learners and believe everyone has value to share.

How it works

We meet once a month, 12 months a year, on the same day, week, and time of the month.
Each month we cover a different investing topic in the lifecycle of an investor—ranging from wholesaling to rehabbing to becoming a bank through private lending.

Our meetings are not sales pitches.

They are opportunities for us to dive deep into a real estate topic, connect with local experts in our marketplace, and build long-term relationships with other doers.

About Sean

Sean is a Long Island native, born and raised in Riverhead, NY, and the youngest of four siblings.

During his school years, Sean was an avid athlete participating in wrestling, football, and golf. After high school, he studied business in Las Vegas and also played rugby for UNLV.

After college, Sean went to work in construction with the family business. Always driven and self-motivated, Sean opened his own company in 2000 eventually focusing on residential construction. Sean is a husband and father to three children and finds his family to be life's most rewarding achievement and motivation for success.

When not on the job site, you may find him spending weekends with is family enjoying boat trips around Long Island. Sean’s primary hobbies include offshore fishing and golfing. Above all, he balances work and time with friends and family.

About Joshua

Joshua was born and raised on Long Island, NY, leaving only to serve our nation in the United States Army both at home and abroad.

His education and professional experiences are extensive and broad-based, all leading to a tireless dedication to his clients, customers, and team members.

Joshua's military service includes time serving as a Senior Human Resources Manager with the famed 101st Airborne Division at Ft. Campbell, KY, and the Virginia National Guard Human Resources Command Serving as a Special Projects Team Leader, publishing a career development handbook for Non-Commissioned Officers, and as a Training Manager and Instructor at the Virginia Army National Guard Officer Candidate School. These experiences taught Joshua what it truly means to serve, and he brings this same sense of duty to his clients. Joshua applies a military work ethic to each transaction-regardless of size and scope-and works tirelessly to help his clients realize their goals.

Joshua is well-known for his broad understanding of real estate, personal approach to supporting his buyers and sellers, and business acumen gained through his undergraduate degree in Human Resources- as well as his current pursuit of an MBA in Project Management-both earned from Grantham University. Joshua's real estate career spans nearly 15 years and includes lending experience with CitiFinancial selling both mortgages and personal loans, and an extensive real estate appraisal career completing over 1,000 valuations covering all of Long Island, the five boroughs, Westchester, Rockland, and Orange County New York. Joshua also served as an Operations Manager of a privately-owned real estate sales and development firm on the North Fork of Long Island managing a sizable distressed asset portfolio, traditional real estate sales department, and contracting and development division specializing in renovation and resale, new construction, permit expediting and land use.

Joshua's encyclopedic knowledge of the housing market along with his real estate appraisal, distressed asset management, and mortgage lending experience allows him to approach real estate from a unique perspective few others can offer. Joshua joined Douglas Elliman in 2018 as a branch manager where he uses his servant leadership style to support his agents in delivering a buying or selling experience that exceeds customer expectations.
