In this conversation, Cory King and Rob Chevez discuss various investment strategies, focusing on wealth building through real estate. They explore the importance of networking for out-of-state investors, share insights on market trends, and reflect on personal experiences with both successful and challenging deals. The discussion emphasizes the need for sound strategies, community connections, and the lessons learned from navigating the complexities of real estate investment.

Cory King's real estate journey began in 2009 when he purchased his first property at just 22 years old. By quickly “house hacking” with two roommates who covered the expenses, he created a smart entry point into real estate that allowed him to scale rapidly.

Driven by creativity and a resourceful mindset, Cory found opportunity in a down market by acquiring and flipping vacant lots in established subdivisions through local auctions. He sold many of these directly to neighbors, using each transaction as a learning experience while generating cash flow.

Cory still has a deep passion for off-market deals and enjoys sharing his knowledge with others. He leads the GRID Knoxville Monthly Meetup, which has grown to over 300 local members and more than 25,000 nationwide.

As both an agent and investor based in Knoxville, Cory brings a unique perspective to the table. His mission is to help deliver homeownership to as many people as possible and create millionaires out of everyday individuals. He’s always eager to help others however he can.
